SUNY Downstate has submitted a closure plan for Long Island College Hospital (LICH) to the state Dept. of Health, but they refuse to let anyone see it, according to the Brooklyn Eagle.
"The press hasn’t seen it, no one has seen it, Downstate isn’t making it public," said Eliza Bates, a spokesperson for the New York State Nurses Association.
In the meantime, the temporary restraining order has made Downtown-area officials, civic leaders, patients and staffers very happy. More here.
