The impressive Photoville exhibit in Brooklyn Bridge Park wound up Sunday, drawing a nice crowd in spite of heat in the 90s. Photographs were exhibited in more than 30 repurposed shipping containers, along with lectures, hands-on workshops and projections. United Photo Industries, based in DUMBO, put on the event.

In “Cruel and Unusual,” photographers showed people living in hell behind prison walls. Works by: Amy Elkins, Brenda Ann Kenneally, Deborah Luster, and Lizzie Sadin.
Beijing-based Sim Chi Yin recreated the tiny living quarters of young workers living underground in Beijing, and exhibited photos from her series "China's Rat Tribe."

Brazilian artist André Feliciano created an installation featuring over 3,000 fabricated “camera flowers" in a greenhouse made just for the show.
While the main exhibition is over, the 1,000-foot-long photo fence remain in Brooklyn Bridge Park for much of the summer.
