I didn't intend to go on a five-week blogging hiatus. I guess I've been feeling uninspired, or maybe just not particularly chatty, or maybe just boring. I'm not back with exciting news. In fact, I'm writing this from a hotel room in New Jersey where I'm spending the week doing training for my job. Doesn't get much less exciting than that. 
And this is the first Valentine's Day that Elliott and I have not been together since 2005. And I actually like Valentine's Day, so this is kind of a big bummer for me. We are still going to celebrate in a few weeks, but sometimes you just want to hug your sweetie on Valentine's Day, you know?[pity party for me.]
Anyway. January flew by and February is following suit. Elliott is up to his ears busy with school (go "like" Day Job Mag on Facebook), and work, and a couple of exciting projects (more to come). We are experiencing a super mild winter here in New York, probably the mildest since I've lived here. But everyone is still in "winter mode" so I can't say it's made a huge difference to me. And I actually like a few snow storms per winter.So, I've been reading a few books and drinking a lot of tea and listening to First Aid Kit and The Tallest Man on Earth. I can't promise it won't be another five weeks before I post again, but I'll see what I can do.
