
Note: It was my first time to make Green Bean Casserole from scratch. I made a lot of changes to the recipe above, (still used canned green beans, omitted the bell pepper, doubled the mushrooms, cheddar cheese in place of parm, and I most certainly did not make fresh shallot rings to top, just sprinkled panko breadcrumbs for crunch) but I thought it turned out great.
